NCDMB To Host Technology Innovation Workshop

NCDMB To Host Technology Innovation Workshop

As part of its mandate to drive research and development in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) will be hosting a 2025 Technology Innovation Challenge Workshop.

The workshop, themed “Stimulating Industry and Economic Growth through Indigenous Technology Innovation,” will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Pavilion by Golden Tulip, G.R.A, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, starting at 10:00 a.m. WAT. The event will run in a hybrid format, with physical attendance strictly by invitation and virtual participation open to the public through Zoom.

Organised through NCDMB’s Technology Innovation and Incubation Centre (TIIC), the workshop will guide innovators, researchers, and academia on the Board’s expectations for the forthcoming Technology Innovation Challenge. It will outline the evaluation criteria, processes, and opportunities available for participants. The session will also highlight how local technology solutions can address industry challenges and drive sustainable growth.

Attendees will benefit from direct engagement with NCDMB experts and industry stakeholders, gaining insights on how to develop ideas into viable commercial solutions. The workshop will also provide networking opportunities with potential partners and investors, as well as access to resources and incubation support for innovators seeking to scale their solutions.

TIIC serves as a key platform for promoting collaboration between government, industry, and academia. Its mandate includes sourcing, developing, and commercialising indigenous innovations, while grooming entrepreneurs to transform concepts into market-ready products and services that strengthen Nigeria’s local content capacity.
