The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) recently donated office furniture and equipment to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 16, Mr. Austin Agbonlahor.

The handing over of the items took place at the Police Zonal headquarters in Yenagoa,  Bayelsa State.

The items include Air conditioners, TV sets, HP Deskjet Printer and Desktop Computer and chairs to assist the Nigerian Police work effectively in a comfortable and conducive environment.

Speaking during the handover, the Executive Secretary, Engr. Simbi Wabote, represented by the Acting Deputy Manager, Mr. Q.S. Taridouye Gagariga said the donation is intended to support the Police in performing its duties and to enhance their productivity in and around the zone.

He added that one of the pillars of the Board in its 10-Year Strategic Roadmap is Collaboration and Stakeholder engagement, adding that the Board also performs its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within and around its operational environment.

He commended the AIG and his team for their efforts and commitment in fighting crime in the state and for swift responses to calls for security assistance.

Receiving the items on behalf of the AIG, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Monday Agbonika appreciated the Board for the donation and assured that the Police will make good use of the items to enhance the security and safety of lives and properties in the state.
